On September 19, Grade 11 students from St. Lorenzo formally concluded their literary outreach program at Masville Elementary School. The initiative, part of Manresa School’s senior high school community engagement efforts, aimed to foster literacy among young learners through interactive reading sessions in Filipino and English. The students used short storybooks they had written themselves to teach and inspire the elementary pupils.

On the same day, the culminating activity was held to celebrate the successful completion of the program. Attended by Masville teachers, learners, parents, and school stakeholders, the event also marked the official launching of the ARAL (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) program, a national initiative implemented by the Department of Education. Manresa students pledged their support as partners in the ARAL program, strengthening their commitment to accessible education and academic recovery.

To further demonstrate their support, the Grade 11 students donated school supplies and reading materials to the participating elementary pupils. In addition, Reinna Remetio of Grade 11 - St. Pedro, through the generosity of her family, pledged a donation of milk for the students. It was a gesture that was warmly received by the Masville community.

The program concluded with heartfelt messages of gratitude delivered by the Masville Elementary School Masville Elementary School's Activity Coordinator, Mr. Agustus Tinaliga, who commended the Manresans for their compassion, dedication, and meaningful contribution to the school community. This was followed by a speech from Senior High School Vice Governess Kolyne Andrea Cabrera, who expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve and highlighted the shared commitment among teachers, students, and parents to nurture a love for learning.

As a token of appreciation, Masville Elementary School awarded certificates of recognition, first to the representative of each sections through the class presidents, then to the students of St. Lorenzo, and finally to the Manresan advisers, in recognition of their leadership, guidance, and unwavering support throughout the program.

This outreach initiative stood as a strong embodiment of the Manresa Maxim: “Tatak Manresa, Kapatid sa Kapwa.” More than just a school activity, it was a deeply meaningful experience, one that strengthened community ties and had definitely left a lasting impact on both the volunteers and the learners they formed a bond within the past 8 weeks.
