The NMESC–Robotics is an inter-university National Mechanical Engineering Robotics Competition where teams of three (3) strategize to measure their knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, specifically in robotics. The event aims to gauge the teamwork, creativity, and technical problem-solving of potential Mechanical Engineers from different institutions and challenge themselves in an under-pressure environment.
The program formally started its registration at 7:30 am, but the workshop began at 10:10 – 11:50 am and the competition at 1:40 – 3:40 pm. The awarding ceremony was done on the same day at 3:40 – 4:00 pm. This was all held at Melchor Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman.
The PSME-UPSU partnered with NYHA Robotics to make this workshop and competition possible by providing robotics kits for the student participants.
The champions secured a cash reward of Php 5,000.00, an NMESC 2024 champion banner board, certificates, and medals. As mentioned by Mr. Fillippe Pastor, the participants decided that Php 5,000.00 will be allotted to the robotics area of the school in hopes of further promoting and improving the science and robotics area of Manresa School.
